The daughter graduated this weekend, receiving a Magne Cum Laude in her Bachelor of Music. I couldn't be prouder of her. She worked hard and even changed schools mid-way because she wanted a better education. That took a lot of maturity ... more than I had at that age.

I was checking Facebook last night and inundated with memes and posts spouting about how terrible people are who don't agree with the poster. Reading through the news today at lunch and feeling more of the same ... humanity at each others' throats grappling for power, money, being “right”.

I've set my Hobonichi daily planner aside and pulled out my Traveler's Notebook again.

I found myself using the Hobonichi for my calendar and task list and carrying a separate notebook for meeting notes while at work. Not a huge deal, but just one more thing to have to keep around somewhere.

I can keep one insert with my schedule and to-dos and another insert for notes. But I need to pick up some new inserts and a few accessories. Time for a trip to Jenni Bick in the city, I guess!

You know what I say a LOT?

To be fair

I attribute it to being a Libra and always trying to be diplomatic about things. I also try to see things from different perspectives ... so there's probably a bit of that in there too.

I know sometimes people don't want to even think about what the other side/person is going through or where they're coming from, but it's still important to consider. That doesn't mean you have to agree with it or approve ... but I still feel you should know why somebody acts the way they do.

To be fair ...

I decided to use today's day to offload to just randomly type stuff as it came to my brain for about 10-15 minutes.
