I did a thing ...
I did a thing ...
Performing my annual security and ethics trainings required at work.
Why to people back in to a parking spot?
I track what I read in Goodreads, but I wanted to start writing a little more about each book and keep track by the month on this blog. Goodreads is nice for the annual challenge, but I don't really use the social aspect as much as I could/should.
I have a lot of friends from High School that I follow on Facebook. Since the election in November 2020, I've unfriended quite a few of them who have turned nasty. I'm all for freedom of speech and different viewpoints, but sometimes it crosses a line into pure hatred or even threats. And I didn't realize how many of my old friends subscribed to ideals I find selfish, unkind, and archaic.
I realized last week that my driver's license had expired in October 2020. At the time, the DMVs were shut down and they had a 60 day extension for licenses expiring. Clearly I was way past that window of opportunity now.
I've subscribed to YouTube Music (previously Google Play Music) for years. One of my favorite things to do is ask my Google Home device to play a specific song that I want to hear, then it creates a playlist based on similar music. I'm assuming their algorithm includes other songs I've liked in the genre as well as pulling songs most played by other users.
Something I would buy, but don't need, if money were no object ...
We had a rough week. My mother-in-law passed away. I just haven't felt like doing anything. It's been mostly a maintenance week ... just keeping up the stuff that needed to be done.
My wife is handling it really well. We're going to go try to have some fun and distraction this weekend.
My mother had already planned a trip to visit us before my mother-in-law died. It's been over a year since I've seen her in person. It will be nice to hug her again.

After watching the MKBHD video about the upcoming Ford F-150 Lightning ... I guess I'm a truck person now. Me want.
